New Online Stamp and Banknote Catalogues at Znamky.cz

We have launched nine new online catalogues at Znamky.cz – five postage stamp catalogues and four banknote catalogues. All of them are free to use, ordered by the traditional catalogue numbers, and enriched with price levels based on actually achieved sales prices. Whether you collect the Hradčany issues, Protectorate overprints or Czechoslovak banknotes, a complete overview of every issue is now just a few clicks away.

    Postage stamp catalogues

Your entry point is the Stamp catalogues and philately page, where you can pick the period you are interested in:

Overview of the online stamp catalogues at Znamky.cz

Pofis numbers plus Michel, Scott and Stanley Gibbons

The catalogues are ordered by the traditional Pofis numbers used as the standard by the Czech philatelic community. For every stamp you will also find cross-references to Michel, Scott and Stanley Gibbons numbers – handy when buying abroad or comparing with foreign catalogues.

Prices based on real sales, not just catalogue values

The indicative price levels are not taken from theoretical catalogue values. They are based on actually achieved selling prices in our shop, auction results including commission, and catalogue records. This gives you a picture of the true market value of a stamp – separately for mint never hinged (**), hinged (*) and used (#) condition. After logging in to your account you also get access to detailed market and auction data.

ČSR I catalogue – Hradčany stamps with price levels and want list

Want list and buying straight from the catalogue

Every stamp in the catalogue has a want list button – one click saves it to the list of stamps still missing from your collection. And if we currently have the stamp in stock, you can add it to your cart directly from the catalogue. The catalogue thus doubles as a shopping list connected to our current offer.

    New banknote catalogues

For notaphily collectors we have prepared four banknote catalogues ordered by the international Pick numbers (we are adding the Czech Bajer numbers as well), with valuations in UNC, 0 and 1 grades:

    Frequently asked questions

Are the catalogues free to use?

Yes, all catalogues are freely accessible. Logging in to a Znamky.cz account additionally unlocks detailed market and auction data and the want list feature.

Which numbering systems do the catalogues use?

Stamps follow Pofis numbers with cross-references to Michel, Scott and Stanley Gibbons. Banknotes follow Pick numbers, supplemented by the Czech Bajer numbers.

How often are the prices updated?

We update the price levels continuously based on real sales in the shop and at auctions – so they reflect the current market, not years-old catalogue records.

We will keep expanding the catalogues – more countries and periods are planned. If you have a suggestion, let us know.
